A practice where you can be comfortable
Hair removal can be a deeply personal part of gender affirmation. You should not have to wonder whether your name, pronouns, privacy or reasons for treatment will be respected.
The goal at Eastern Shore Electrolysis is straightforward: provide skilled, individualized permanent hair removal in an environment where people of all genders are treated with dignity and without judgment.
You will not be expected to explain or defend your identity in order to receive respectful service.
Facial and body hair
For some clients, facial hair is the primary concern. Others may want permanent removal on the neck, chest, abdomen, arms, hands or other suitable areas. Treatment plans can range from a few unwanted hairs to a long-term program involving larger areas.
Electrolysis can treat hair regardless of color, including gray, white, blond and red hair as well as dark hair, making it useful for people whose goals cannot be fully addressed with pigment-dependent hair-reduction methods.
Your treatment goals belong to you
Gender-affirming care does not mean making assumptions about what any person should look like. Some clients may want extensive facial hair removal. Others may want only particular areas shaped or cleared. Some may be pursuing a medical transition, while others may not be.
The appropriate treatment plan is the one that reflects your goals, your comfort and the hair you actually want removed.
Surgery-related hair removal
Some gender-affirming surgical procedures may require permanent hair removal from specific areas before surgery. These treatment programs can involve specialized timing, documentation and coordination with a surgical team.
Whether Eastern Shore Electrolysis will offer surgery-related treatment for particular anatomical areas will be determined before opening based on practitioner training, facility requirements, scope of practice and applicable Maryland standards. The website will be updated when those services are finalized.
Privacy and respect
Client information will be handled with discretion. Intake materials will be designed to use inclusive language and to collect only information reasonably relevant to safe treatment, administration and communication.
Chosen names and pronouns will be respected. If legal information is required for billing, licensing or other administrative purposes, it will be handled separately from the way you are addressed in ordinary interactions whenever practical.
